Hey all,

Just a tip for anyone that uses ‘layering’ in their Yammie module and then attempts to hook up to Superior Drummer 2.0 ( and potentially other VST’s?)

My very first experience with VST’s was over the weekend – I got it all functioning quite easily and then started to set my kit triggers to match SD2.0 midi notes.

Most were pre-set and already ’known’ by SD2.0 but my issue was EVERY time I hit the Kick, Snare or Toms on my kit I got a cymbal triggering in SD2.0 at EXACTLY the same time – after about 5 HOURS  of going back and forth , saving, resetting , reading books , searching the net for answer all with no success I stumbled across the problem myself.

In my YAMMIE MODULE I was sitting in one of my own ‘User kits’ where I had 2 layers for these instruments and obviously the module was sending the midi note out for BOTH triggers and hence SD2.0 was registering both midi notes. I dialled my module back to a Preset kit and everything instantly worked fine.

I just thought I would post this small piece of info in this forum to assist other people who may also be new to VST’s :D

Thanks Wotto, I am going through this now and my problem is slightly different, I have the DTxtreme 2s midi out to the DTXtreme 3 and the 3 usb'ed into my pc. They both trigger but some of the notes are overlapping in SD 2.0. I am confident that I will get this resolved by setting up a designated midi kits. Good Luck with your setup. Tom

Oh I am noticing also that since I am using mesh heads so the triggering needs to be readjusted to fit the SD 2.0.
