Here is the newest contest, The Best Drum Video

The only rules are that the videos must be made by the member. No professional videos. This is open to EDF Members as well as DMDrummer members and DTXperience members also.

The object is to have fun and be creative, nothing is out of bounds and I may even make a video. Mine is not eligible for the prize but everyone elses is including VIP's, Mods. I will be the judge and all decisions are final.

The subject is drums so there is plenty of latitude in the video making process and plenty of subject matter. I will list the prize in this post in a week or two.

Have Fun!!!!

My Pleasure Tom and thanks for the kind words.
This video was done when we played to this song for the Jam, considering how many pads and voices I am actually using in this song, Darth Fusion had dared me to make a video of me playing the song pretty much the same way I had in the MP3 version. About 6 months went by and I finally decided to take Darth up on the dare and setup my video camera and mixer, I recorded this to VHS tape (video camera to VCR and mixer audio to VCR) and then put the video to digital by recording the tape to computer using the video/audio inputs of the ATI All In Wonder 9800 Pro video card (which has since fried). It took many takes to get the performance in this video, not the easiest song to play too using that many voices and pads! LOL :D
Had fun doing it though. :)
Take care

Hi Bobby.
When you upload your video to youtube and it gets done uploading, it gives you a URL and a embeded code thingie, use the URL (http://) part and paste it in your message, the forums sets it up automaticaly.
Take care

Okay...here in Denver it's still July 31...just barely, but it is.

I haven't gotten my settings quite right on the edrum kit. But I was determined that I was going to submit something. So here it is...just playing on a practice pad. You'll probably need it turned up because by nature practice pads aren't really loud. :p I'm also going to apologize in advance if this takes forever to load...this was done with a little Flip video recorder and it appears that unless I purchase some version of QuickTime Pro, I can't compress it, so the file size was HUGE.

Actually, I want to continue the contest to get more videos, you can add more than one. I will bump up the prize also. I will work on a prize package but I want to first give away a DVD to the winner, a DVD of his favorite band. I will also give out other prizes also. Rush DVD to the second place finisher. Maybe other prizes if we get enough entries. Tom, Keep them coming
