So I have been poking around and I can't seem to discover what Karma is and how you get Karma points. Anybody know?

I too was wandering what Karma points were when I joined up, and found this (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=104).
edit: looks like the function to applaud or smite is currently disabled? And why do the Mods get to start at 1010 :(

I did some digging. We need 100 posts to be able to modify Karma. I dropped it down to 5 for now. I gave you +1! I think I may go smite TK a few times!

I smote you again! Of course with 2110 Karma points I will have to smite a long time to do any substantial damage.
Did anybody read Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom by Cory Doctorrow. Fascinating book, but one of the main points was that in the future, your "Whuffie", what others thought of you, was very important and could affect your entire life. Since everyone had neural implants, they could see your Whuffie score when they met you. Maybe we should change the name Karma to Whuffie?

BTW I like the current theme, looks very neat. The previous one Moon_raker or something was really hard to read and so dark..

I agree, the current theme is clean and easily read.

I like this too but I am always searching for something that catches the eye, also I will be using seasonal themes on occasion for certain holidays. Any suggestions, I have one allready lined up for Festivus, Halloween and Christmas among others.
