Hi all, I just found this site. I see some of you are also on the DTX forums.
I got my kit one week ago today. since then I've programmed a few kits and installed memory and done a bit of sampling. So far this kit has surpassed all my expectations. My only complaint is that Yamaha does not include the memory needed to sample , and save samples with the module. It's not a huge deal to have to buy it separately, but for a guy like me that really doesn't know a whole lot about this stuff, it would have been nice to have everything pre-installed.
Anyway I've finally got my set up the way I want it , I've added some pads from my DTX ll kit, I originally planned to combine the two kits and modules but with the 4 extra inputs on the DTX lll there was really no need to cotinue using the DTX ll module. The kit sounds fantastic.
