Hi all.
Well, I was starting to miss my WTF-2 kit since I've been playing only with my new DTXtreme III Standard kit, but to use the WTF-2 kit, I'd have to relocate my DW-7000 double pedal and the heavy Tama drum throne, a bit of a hassle. So I started shopping online, I wanted a cheap drum throne and a inexpensive double pedal, I wasn't too fussy about the throne but wanted a decent double pedal, after reading many owner reviews, I decided on the Pearl Power Shifter (P122TW) pedal. I took a chance and called a few local music stores and low and behold, one store had this pedal for pretty much the same price as online.
So I went shopping.
Here are the pictures and their descriptions.
1) Just got home with the new goodies.
2) The new Pearl pedals in place at my DTXtreme III kit
3) The new Gibraltar throne next to my Tama throne, the Gibraltar will be used as a seat at my workbench when I merge the two kits together later in the summer.
4) The Gibraltar throne behind Project WTF-2 (notice the 2 felt washers and cymbal wing nut on the 2nd floor tom, explanation in last picture)
5) Here's my DW-7000 double pedal back home where it belongs.
6) This is why the 2 felt washers and cymbal wing nut was on the floor tom, I had a spare cymbal stand from my Xpress III kit and decided to put it on the DTXtreme III Standard kit, so I can move my PCY-150s (3 zones) from one kit to another, I wanted to hear the default cymbal sounds from the Crash 2 port. Also notice the two new cymbals are black, the 150s is almost charcoal grey in comparison.
So far, I like the new double pedal, this is a decent pedal for it's price ($155.00), as time goes by and I play it more, I will write how I like or not like this pedal, so far, I like it.
Take care
