I was browsing the PinTech website, and they have a conversion for a 5 piece kit for $700.. And they even have a deal w/ Pearl to have your new drums shipped to them first. I thought that was pretty cool. Anyone have any comments? Pintech - have you gotten a lot of requests or have you done a lot of conversions?

I am wondering if you can sell the conversion bits, but then I saw the custom fitted brackets and such.. Seems like a pretty cool process..
(Why do I always want to call them Pine-tech??? They don't make new fangled pine furniture... yet..)
And what modules would they work with?
Anybody here had a conversion done?

Pintech's pads usually play nicely with Roland's modules...and kinda sorta on the Yammies.
Pintech has been selling conversion kits for a while that a lot of people have used. They're just taking the work out of it for you...nice thing is they can have it all tested for you to make sure it all works so you don't have to do any troubleshooting. What would be nice is if they could have it optimized for whatever module you're using...but that would mean they'd need to have every module (well, at least the more popular ones)...kind of hard to expect them to have a TD-20, -12, -10, -9, -8, -6, -3, and all of the various Yammies. But it's a nice thought.
I would like to hear from someone who has had the conversion done to use with the td20 thanks

You can get a Knipe Drums Custom kit and have Pintech convert them also. I will do a Video of one of the Drums I sent them for conversion and you can decide for yourself. T

Last year I purchased the Pintech triggers and installed them in a 12" tom and two 16" kicks. Now I'm getting ready to install more Pintech triggers into a fullsize kit 12/13/14/16/22. I don't use a Roland module, but Pintech does (did) provide a sheet with recommended settings with their Pintech drums and Roland modules. The trigger bars are designed to attach to the drum using the inside lug nut screws.
Talk to "Lorrie" about what you need or interested in creating. She's great to work with and has always made it worth my time to call her. WW
