So, I've been messing with the 'box' that came with my PC hats, and have found that I can't get it to be very responsive. I have to lift a little early to get the open sound, and was okay for a while, but as I work on my hat technique more, I found it more and more annoying. A local drum shop had a hyper hat, and I bought it. I really like the responsiveness over the 'box'. I was wondering if there was a manual or something I can d/l? or anyway to know what year it was made or anything? it wasn't in the box, and the shop owner said it was a couple of years old.. I bought it from 'Dave's Professional Drums' in Oregon City, OR. Great guy, that Dave! Anyone else have a hyper hat?
I am looking to maybe make the range a little bigger. Also, when I take my foot off the pedal, it makes the close sound - which is cool for double bass, because I don't like the full-open sound (I like my drop clutch!!). But I was wondering if this was configurable, and how?
