Sorry about that, being a Conservative/ Libertarian I am voting for Sarah Palin. I like Rogue Candidates. LOL ;D
I believe it is time for a woman in the White House, I also believe it is time for a minority President but they have to be Conservative. I want America first type of person like Pat Buchanan. mmmmmm President Buchanan has a certain ring to it, like deja vu lol. My 2 cents ;D

I cant afford choice A, my health plan is good and it doesnt cost half my paycheck.
My biggest problem with both A & B are the same, neither one of them understand what a fence is and why it should be on the border. Neither of them understand personal responsibility as it relates to paying for something that you purchase. We all know that those folks who overpaid for their house dont deserve a bailout.
Socialism once you get it it has you. A new bumper sticker lol Heres another one for you lefties

Everyone talks about exposing curruption but Palin actually does something about it. After putting the state checkbook on the internet she is my candidate. She is not a party line lemming. She ran against her own party to get the job in Alaska.

you realize she is running for Vice Prez right?
I really think the GOP messed up when they picked her for the Vice Slot. They should have choose Condoleezza Rice or at least anyone else that didnt look like Tina Fey or sound like the lady from Fargo.

Fignewton actually brings up a big difference between the left leaning and the right leaning folks in this country. We prefer plain speaking non lawyers as our Government Representatives as opposed to our left leaning friends who prefer the eloquent well dressed legal scholars like Obama, Edwards and the like. Common sense and substance gets my attention over style and eloquence. Just my opinion, T

Is it plain speaking or just some PR company running the whole election process?
Gotta have the right color tie, make sure the right people endorse this person, or make sure you say the right catch phrase. ala the Manchurian Canidate. (And that goes both ways Left and Right.)
Guess it is my Punk Rawk roots that are showing to vote for Obama ( as well as the issues and i read both his books) I think it is time to let someone else drive the bus.
Good Thread

I really cant sit here and make a case for John McCain, although I dont care for his politics or hist lack of campaign tactics. But I can address the need for change that seems to be a theme in this election. I have yet to hear one thing that either one of them would change?????
Obama - This fellow as eloquent as he is told you everything you need to know in the debates- we need to fix social security (another failed Liberal government handout) how they plan on fixing it is what every politician has always done and suggested, upping the retirment age to 72.
Basically most of our generation will pay for the sins of theyr generation. Sad but undeniably true.
Health care - He said that if you like your plan then keep it and if you dont you can opt for the same plan that he and John (McCain) has, What he didnt say is who is going to pay for the government plan?? We are! The government will need a whole infrastructure to pay for and collect revenues and the government doesnt bill one for one they charge everyone with a line iten on your paycheck. Just to say that they didnt raise your taxes they just take out 30 percent of your pay to cover this cost which is ever rising. After that is in place what is your logical reasoning for paying for your private health plan? When you are paying for yours and everyone elses.
With 2 or so years as a Senator most of which was spent running for President this guy doesnt have the experience to run for Mayor of Chicago let alone POTUS. I also have a problem voting for a guy that has never served his country and giving him the reigns to our military.
*The beautiful part of his plan is the propoganda behind it, once you roll out an entitlement it becomes treasonous to take it away so even if the american people vote for a Conservative in 4 years the entitlement mindset is allready grown into the bedrock od society.
John McCain is no better, he wants to renegotiate and stop people from losing their house that they couldnt afford if it were not for their own greed and stupidity to take out loans that they couldnt afford. Why would I as an american taxpayer want to stop foreclosures on bad loans????? To stop a recession or a depression? Now say that we all pay for this and someday I decide I dont want to pay for my mortgage, do I have the right to renegotiate the terms? If I dont then this plan is bad because they allready set the precedent that it is acceptable. Bad politics and bad policy!!!!
If you dont understand that a majority of Americans want an secured border and you dont acknowledge that is at your own political peril. The conservatives will not vote for you!
Both of these guys are just wrong for the U.S. and its pretty sad. But I will always vote for the guy that gave his body and soul for this country. If Barry had done the same as McCain I would give him my vote but ofcourse Libs dont serve their country they expect their country to serve them.
Fig- the real problem with Barrack Obama is the media wants us to annoint this guy king and it wont happen, they covered up his past and with hold video tape and news stories about his friends and political advisors. We should have learned our lesson with Bill Clinton, everyone knew he played rough with the ladies and was accused of some heinous stuff in arkansas. If we want another scandal ridden white house we are in for a real treat this time.
As always my 2 cents ;D

I have the exact same views on the Mortgage/Credit Crisis/Irresponsibility as you.
If you decided to call up the White House (i think they have an 800 number) and say "Look i am have a tough time this month:I just got this really nice house that i couldnt afford, i had a blast in Vegas and put it all on my Credit Card, and by the way i dont have a job. Can you guys give me 750 Billion? I will prolly ask you guys for some more in a couple months. Wouldnt happen. But it did for the bailout.
Most likely the Heath Care reform wont go through because of the 1 Trillon our kids will be paying for there entire working careers.
I read the books, voted in the primaries, watched the debates, laughed at the hilarious emails people sent me, and finally voted the other night. So to tell the truth I am ready for the political season to be over. What size sticks do you use? ;D
Love this forum.

Barry may be giving up his whole life for his country but I don't think that country is USA. He doesn't care for this country, even less for the flag or the pledge. His wife is ashamed of this country her whole life until now. Although there "is nothing to that citizenship claim" the governor of Hawaii felt the need to seal Obama's records for now. How about a little transparency.
A blind "anything but what we have now" public that put thte disgraceful Bill Clinton in the White House will likely now hand it over to a potential sleeper in the name of change, progress and entitlement. By the way I am low income and stand to "profit" immediately by an Obama plan. The price is Waaaaaay too high.
Oh and Democrats were in charge of the organizations that put us in this bailout they now blame on Bush and they are heading up the investigations. That will accomplish a lot.
I do realize Palin would only be VP but we need all the sane, non-wasteful people we can get. Biden certainly isn't it. Give me a war hero and a corrruption cleaner.

It was funny watching them tip toe around the social security question and when Barry said it was obvious the only way to deal with Social Security was to push back the age of requirement to 72. Well that doesnt sit well with me but what really grinds my gears is when G.W. had the unmitigated audacity to privatize a small piece of social security and the DEMOCRATS RIDICULED HIM!!!!!! I have one question for the Democrat Congress. What will I have now???? Not one ****ing thing. They made the case that the American people couldnt manage their own small piece of it. Well according to the facts if they lost 10 percent of their own money they, would still be ahead of the governments track record.
The real question I have for any leftist out there that might want to answer this is :
1) Why should the American people want any other government programs when the government hasnt proven to be able to manage the ones they allready have??
My two cents
Keep America Free , vote for a Conservative

Well, I changed my vote last minute and voted for the Libertarian Candidate Bob Barr. I am still waiting for his concession speech. In New Jersey you dont have to worry about who you vote for the winner is always the Democrat. Property taxes keep going up and Social reform spending goes up and never any tax relief.
Now that Barry is President that will change! Taxes will go even higher and so will spending on social redistribution of wealth. Thats a relief I thought we were going to have Change. Its comforting to know that the same failed policies of Liberalism and corruption are being exported from New Jersey to Washington DC. I can honestly say that now I agree with Michelle!!!

I was talking with my next door neighbor who just moved to Texas. He was telling me how much cheaper it was to live in Texas as opposed to New Jersey.
The cost of living (rent, taxes, gas, food, etc) that he was paying there made my jaw drop.
