Hi everyone, I am a Drummer from Southern California, I am currently looking for a new band. I want to move to eDrums and I wandered in here to learn a little something. I am looking into Roland and Yamaha and looking at both of the flagship models. I do want the ability to sample but can live without it if the need arises. Oh by the way my name is Annie. I hope to get to know all of you. This forum looks great, nice job you guys!!! I luv the color scheme alot and all the features. Annie

Welcome Annie.

Plenty of drummers here to answer your edrum (Hart/Yamaha/Pintech/Roland) questions. WW

Hi AppleNewton and welcome to this place! :)
As for the decision regarding what eDrum Kit you want, make sure to try them both out, find a Roland and Yamaha dealer in your area that has their top of the line kit TD-20 for Roland and DTXtreme III for Yamaha. This way you can make a educated decision, the feel, the sound, the cost, the looks, the features, the bang for the buck.
This way chances are you'll be happy with your purchase down the road.
Good luck.
Take care

Hi Annie - welcome and best wishes in your search for your edrum kit. I found that I liked the Roland VH12 hihat and that drove the rest of my buying decissions. If my brain weren't mush, I could recall who recommended trying the equipment out at some shops - man, I just read the post....anyway, same here, you really need to see what you like, feel wise as well as features.
As for me, my high budget taste dictated low budget pads so that I could get into the VH12 hi hat/Roland TD-20 combo.... enter the DIY world .

Happy Drumming :)

Thank You for such a warm welcome, right now I am leaning towards the Yamaha DTXtreme 3 since it can sample. I like the stock sounds alot also. We shall see, I am going to get it this week. wish me luck:)
