I usually use IEM, but on my current gig this does not seem to be an option.
(On the last show, I ended up plugged directly into my HeadPhone output put one bud in one ear and left the other free to hear stage monitors. :P)
I am looking for some thing compact that will be able to monitor my drums, guitars, base, etc.. Also since i am setting in with other bands, be able to set it up and not have the sound guy stare at me and tilt its head like whenever a dog hears a weird noise.

Not sure if this will help you or not, but recently our band has added two Shure PSM-200 wireless units for our two main singers in the band. Each unit has two inputs; one for the vocal mic and one for the band monitor mix. I'm not sure of the setup that you use but you could run the output of your module into the first input and a band monitor mix (if available) into the second input. Each input has an independant volume to keep each level exactly where you want it. We have been very happy with them so far and hope to add two more units (for my bass player and me) in the near future.

That is a good idea that got me thinking. What if i used my own head phone amp?
That would work right?
Just take the Send the Monitor Guy gives me and plug that into the HeadPhone Amp...right?

Possible; let us know how it works. Do you only need to monitor the band mix or do you need to have your mix & the band mix together? The problem that I have w/ our sound guy is that the V-drums portion of my kit can hardly be heard thru our monitor mix. If you could monitor your kit level independently from the band mix, then you would not have a problem hearing yourself.
