Here is a pic of my first electronic percussion instrument. The SYNARE PS-1 analog Percussion Synthesizer #0166 . I bought it new in 1977. After about 25 years the pads became brittle and the pads would not trigger anymore. I recently replaced the pads with some mouse pad material. It`s works as good as new now. I have the stand for it but I don`t where I can put it my kit. haha. Maybe i`ll just sample some stuff and play it from the Yamaha. alvis

I just talked to Joe Pollard. I am going to be interviewing him soon. I love those kooky things.

Wow! How cool is that. Talking with Mr. Syndrum in person. I loved those. If you publish the interview i would love to read it. Synare and Syndrum were the ones that started a spark in my mind that today is a rageing fire. Enjoy, Alvis

My first article, which is an overview of vintage electronic drums, comes out in the Not So Modern Drummer Magazine January issue. I don't think it has hit the stands yet.

I think my article with Joe Pollard will be a feature article in about 3 months.

My main talent is fooling people into thinking I have talent!
