Apparently this company thinks that drummers are both gullible and incredibly stupid.

I am offended as an acoustical consultant that they claim "acoustical science" led to the development of the product. I'm offended as a drummer that they assume we're stupid enough to pay $60 for the friggin' thing!
One of my favorite marketing quotes in the description:
"No more pillows, jackets, or packing blankets stuck in your kick, ever again!"
Right...because this thing is so much different than a pillow in the kick drum! I want to find the person that came up with this and punch him square in the nose.

But what about the six different postions you can use to capture that special tone?
You can't do that with a standard pillow - hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Use the brick you have in your signature and throw that!!
What is sad is that it is on backorder.

I don't think it is that stupid. I'd play with it before I'd go all the way to stupid. I agree that it is probably unnecessary for 90% of the drummers out there, especially if they aren't recording. I remember playing with the pillows in my bass drum every time I moved my kit around. If this made setup for a specific sound as easy as figuring out exact position with this thing, it'd be worth it in time saved - not necessarily material costs. But, since I don't have an acoustical kit, I don't need one.
I did find the 'recycled cotton' as a boon pretty funny.. I wonder how many old BVD's and fruit of the looms are in there!

Bobby,
Has your arrived yet? I'm having trouble getting to work on my 16" electronic kicks. Is there a trick to making it change the tone of the kick with Yamaha modules? :-D

I'd like to introduce my new range of kick drum anchor
It's called the "Kidor"
Soon to be available online are through good retailers
Wes..... It definitely reduced the hollow clank of the garbish can once it was properly installed :)

Well, we all know the infamous saying of how often a sucker is born.

But it's science! And you can't argue with science! But do we have to cut the gaping hole in the side of our bass drums like they show in the picture?
