Hello everybody ,

Just joined up here today and am looking forward to checking out some different topics that have caught my eye on here allready . Always cool to see various e-drummers on the same forum , so I'm sure there's gonna be some interesting things I'll find as I explore this site more .

A little quick about me :

I've been a drummer for the past 30 years ( started when I bought my first drumset on my 6th. birthday ) been hooked ever since . In the 80's I discovered electronic drums and even though the options and offerings were alot different back then it was still something that I have always thought was just another great option for drummers of the world . Looking back to the earlier days it's very exciting to see where the technology has taken things over the years and I look forward to see what the future holds in store for drummers of the world .

It's nice to have you, Sam :) You started playing young! Well, I guess I can't say much. That's about when I started on the strings. Still trying to get my kids to take to an instrument. I don't remember it being a huge feat when I was younger. Maybe my parents would have another story though, lol.

As I said above, it's fantastic to see you here and I hope to see you around.

Welcome Sam!
I am considering Billy Blast drums, though, just the shells. I'll put the electronics in myself. I fell in love with his copper finish. How do you like them?
Great to have you on the site!

sam(otacon28), welcome to eDrumForum.com. You didn't by chance hear about eDrumForum through my post over at Vdrums?:D Anyway, I think you will like it over here. These guys are really great and they seem to embrace all edrum makes and models.

BTW, I saw your kit pics. That kit looks kick a** cool.

I really enjoy sitting down to this kit and playing . The action and response on the drums is precise , and when looking at them up close you can tell that Billy doesn't just throw them together . I have been playing mine for over a year now ( the full set ) and haven't had any issues what so ever with any of the drums . There was a slight adjustment that I had to make when I was running 2 Yamaha modules , but that's pretty standard when mixing brands together sometimes .

I have used these with the following modules ( Pintech EZv2 , Yamaha DTX , Yamaha DTXpress III , Alesis DM5 , ddrum4 ) and they have worked very well with all of them .

Actually that is how I found out about this forum , so thanks for putting the info. up over there . It's always cool to be a part of a forum that welcomes eDrummers of various backgrounds and preferences when it comes to electronic drum gear .

I think the motto is that what works for one person may or may not be right for someone else.

I used to have a TD20 and a Yamaha DTXtreme 2s, I had the drums on the 20 and the cymbals on the xtreme2s for obvious reasons. I liked mesh heads and I loved the Yamaha sounds and its advanced features. So thats how this forum was born. Other than kidding around with Ron about our differences (which are very small regarding Roland vs Yamaha) I want any module that will give me the sounds I need and want.

Maybe 2box will be the next.

So welcome Sam and join the conversation :)

A big thanks to Phil for saying nice things about the forum, you are a credit to the community. Anyone who works hard to help the community as a whole deserves high praise in my mind. We are lucky to have some of the real greats in the E Drum community here.

We might need to to a eDrumForum.com Hall of Fame, Ron are you reading this yet? I will be available later to yell at for creating more work. Sorry for being all over the place on this, T Again, Welcome aboard Sam
