Interchangable?

Hi guys.
I've got a Yammy DTXplorer.
Can a person change out the yammy snare pad for a Roland snare pad or any other mesh headed pad?

Hi Shuffle.
I'm not familiar with the DTXplorer but I have had Mesh head pads (Pintech) working on the DTXpress III, IV and DTXtreme IIs.
It requires tweaking of the module to make them work well.
Also, very unlikely you would be able to get the rim of a mesh head pad to work reliably if at all, the Yamaha modules expect a switch signal from the pad's rim, mesh head drums use Piezzo for their rims. I've never tried a Roland brand mesh head pad however, I used to use Pintech for a snare and all four toms.
