Evening everyone.

Would like a little help from you all if you can give it to me. I have a DTXPLORER kit and have recently picked up the new drum tutor software from Roland.

All pads work and respond when using the software except for the kick and the snare they dont register at all. I know that it is a midi mapping issue and from what I have read there is no way to remap them on the Explorer set. So my question is what would I need to remap them so that they register on the Roland Software? I have tried Edrum Midi Mapper and have them remapped so that they are sending the signals that the drum tutor wants but when I run the Midi Mapper program it of course shuts down the input on the software!

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Rich

I know an old post, but I was able to get DTXplorer working with DrumTutor...here is my setup:

DTX MIDI to M-Audio 2496 card (although I think this would work same with provided Cakewalk MIDI cable)

Running LoopBE Internal Virtual MIDI port (as referenced from eDrum MIDI Mapper site).

Running eDrum MIDI Mapper with 2496 selected as MIDI In and LoopBe as MIDI Out. Only two custom entries:
Snare - mapping Channel 10 G1 to Channel 10 D2 (note you have to check the channel On)
Kick - mapping Channel 10 A1 to Channel 10 C2.

Drum Tutor runs with LoopBE selected in MIDI source.

I do need to work further to get the audio mix I want, I would prefer DTX module sounds and Drum Tutor song accompaniment and metronome. I am also working next to find a simple MIDI editor and work up some additional practice drills.
