OK....you guys that have the new III kit (pads and all).....got some questions about the drum pads....how have they held up??...trigger response??...any issues with them???....how hard on hands/wrists, etc.....the reason I ask is I am seriously thinking about selling my church's roland td-10exp. set and purchasing the SPIII kit:D...with the new price it's just almost too good a deal to pass up...and I know I like the module alot better just from playing mine!!!....any feedback would be welcome...:)

Scott, I have used the tp-100/120 pads exclusivly for 4 1/2 years. I can`t say how they compare to mesh. I like the way they respond and feel. I use a light grip on the stick so the the stick and pad absorb all the shock and i`ve never had a problem with my wrists. I find the pads hold up very well. I only had a problem with one pad from my IIs kit and it was bad right out of the box ( tp-120 pad controller). Never had a single problem since then. Speaking of the pad controller you might like having those. You can control the snare strainer tension and tuning on the toms quickly with it without having to go into the module. No other pads have it. Plus they are 3 zone pads. Nice for adding pecussion voices ect, to the rims. But what if the little birdie is right? Well even if he is I don`t think you could get the kit with new pads at that price. What a conundrum.
I hope that helps you choose and good luck with your choice, Alvis :)
Edit: I forgot after about one year my kp-125 started to mistrigger. I had to open it up and change the foam inside it. It`s been working great since. I made a thread "Inside the Yamaha kp-125" here about it.

Agreed with Alvis regarding the TP-100 and 120sd.
I get sore hands due to years of abuse in winter conditions, so be it mesh of rubber, if my hands are going to hurt they will do so no matter what I play on.
I do like the response feel better of the rubber over mesh, I've tried Pintech and Roland mesh heads and no real difference for easing the pain for myself, I did like the feel (sticking wise) of the Roland heads better though over the Pintechs due to the 2 ply mesh, but still like the feel of rubber even better, I just find it more responsive stick wise and module wise as well.
Alvis hit the nail on the head when he said to use a loose grip on the sticks, this is something I've been practicing and desperately trying to do for a little over a year, yep, hard to teach a old dog new tricks! LOL :)
For me personally, I like the TP-120sd and TP-100 rubber pads, I like the feel, the 3 zones and pad controller is a bonus, but feel must come first! :)
Take care
