Going to move them outside sometime soon to get a good overhead pic. Basement ceiling is to low to get one.

Your kit looks great NPYYZ...definitely like the double bass setup.....:)...and how you have your toms relatively flat in your setup....that's how I like to have my kit's set up (as far as tom position goes)....I remember years ago (mid 80's) I had a Sonor Phonic Plus kit with HUGE rack toms (14X14 & 15X15)......you just about had to mount them horizonally to keep them from hitting the bass drum...lol:D
Anyway...great looking kit!!

Hi NPYYZ and welcome to this place! :)
The kit is looking great, looks like you've been hard at work on it! :)
Just a correction to your list of pads.... you said TP-100sd, I believe you means TP-120sd?
You may not need to bring it outside, just maybe move it away from the wall a bit, hold the camera near the ceiling and start clicking, chances are one of the pictures will catch pretty much everything, that's how I used to take pics of my big kit! LOL :)
Take care

Memories..........like the faded.........ok, I'm back. Yeah those huge toms take me back too. My last acoustic kit had a 26" kick, two mounted toms (14"/15") and a 16" floor tom. I eventually mounted legs on the 15" and made a Bonzo type kit (one mounted/two on the floor). That 26" kick was a killer though - hahaha. I recently tried to switch to fullsize e-toms, but I'd gotten so use to the shallow Pintechs (like your Yamaha's NPYYZ) that I keep coming back to them for easy stackability around the rack. WW

Thanks guys, Yep I messed up on the snare pads should be the 120 SD. Also I've never really liked double pedals. I've always preferred two separate kick drums.

Holy crapola those are beefy floor joists.. what's over that, a hot tub? Damn! Looks like it could support a pool. Kudos to whomever did those joists. I like beefy over done stuff. Never hurts to be a little stronger. That floor isn't going anywhere - lol

oh, and thats one very cool kit ya got there too.

How do you like the new kicks?

I'm thinking it's the basement of an older house 1940's-1960's and appears to be pre-kiln dried lumber (true 2"x8" dimensional) joists spaced on 18"-20" center with plank sheathing on top. Looks like old school construction.

Or.................I could totally be wrong all together - hahahaha. Am I anywhere close NPYYZ?

PS: nice drums :-)

I think you may be correct Wes. True 2" wood. 2x4's aren't really 2x4's anymore. A lot of people don't seem to get or understand that.

However, it may be an illusion... But those look a little closer than 18"

Eitherway it looks solid as hell.

Definitely agree...that House is built like a tank!!!!....probably cause he's churning out some serious volume on that kit!!!...doesn't want it coming down on him...
