Here are two recordings, me just messing around; the 1st one is of the beech custom. abs. user kit I recorded earlier, but with changes to the master effects and velocity depth & offset....I did this one to compare with earlier recording....
The 2nd one I recorded is "5 kits" in a row, oak custom, birch cus. abs. (w/ flanger eff.), maple beech (based 70's NY studio kit), maple cus. abs., & beech cus. abs......again just messing around wanting to hear differences in drum sounds...some of these kits have more editing done to them than others, such as: mpl. cus. abs. & beech cus. abs. I have changed velocity settings on them (based on recommendation from Alvis); on all the kits I have recently made a change to the master effect (eq.?) and set it up for a more rock oriented sound (I believe) and the bir. cus. abs. kit has a flanger eff. added to it....anyway, have a listen, let me know what you think....these are both done in mp3. format so shouldn't be too long or hopefully not too difficult to get to open ...:)

Oh, You are getting very good with editing on your new module. Those are some of the best sounding kits i've heard from the III so far. You build some realy sweet snares and the toms are fantastic. Great work Scott!! Alvis

Thanks Alvis...and thanks for the tips you've given me!.....they have def. helped on the editing side of things....it's a little difficult recording these...cause I'm having to set the recorder with one hand and then quickly get the sticks and play something (I did this 5 times for the 5 user kit one)...hahaha...I really need to get my son to help me!!!..hahaha....so I usually just mess around with it when I play and rec....also I've noticed a little scratchiness on my snare occasionally...I think the piezo may be a little noisy or going bad (oh well...the pad is going on 6-8 yrs. old)....I've got a new piezo from Yamaha so I may be changing this soon....:)...OBTW...forgot to mention this in the original post, but I have also changed the individual drum EQ's for all these kits....:)

Agreed with Alvis.
Scott, you have gotten the hang of kit editing pretty quick and are quite good at it, the kits in the recordings sounds most excellent. Now if I could only get mine to sounds half as good! LOL :)
Way to go! :)
Take care
