Here is the latest kit i have been playing. i hope you guys like it. i also added more pics in my albums. Tom

The toms are 10" (3) 12" (2) 12" Cherry snare and a 16" maple wrapped Kick drum Mylar head. I am working on a rubber head solution that will work in a wood drum shell. :)

Oh its going to happen

WOW Tom, that is simply gorgeous, I like the wrap on the kit but what really caught my eye was the snare, amazingly beautiful and the wooden hoops on the kick drum. Most excellent layout indeed! :)
Take care

Thank you for the kind words Gentlemen. :)

Jack, see a few items that came from the Great White North??? Once i learn how to clean rubber properly and learn better cable management skills I might take some professional pics but i am lacking in several skill sets. T :)

Tom.....
The cleaning rubber properly part is easy, the cable management part is a royal pain in the (back there area) and is difficult, back breaking, temper flaring, nail biting, teeth grinding, blood boiling, screaming bloody murder, want to hit it with a bigger hammer, *(&&*$$%# this damned thing....... but it looks purdy when done! LOL :D
And yes, I've seen a few familiar things on your kit, WTF, looking good! LOL :)
Take care

I think my favorite part is that the liquor shelf is easily accessible! :D
I also love that we all have a tendency to work on our toys before we do other stuff like door trim. ;) :p

Just out of curiosity, did you lose the bottom hoop to the first floor tom, or is that shell not deep enough to get tension rods & a hoop? And I'm assuming you're gonna put rim rubber on those as well, just ran out?

Trimmed; Yes.
Door Jamb; No.

(Other observations correct lol)

David, you find the darndest things in pictures. After i read all the V Drums posts I saunter over to the liquor shelf for a jigger of whiskey. Then I happily go along my merry way lol. :)

I think I will be happier if I drink first then read posts.

Where the drumkit is now used to be a 8 foot bar. Now I have to walk further to drink liquor. T

I was thinking the same, but I always don't pick out the obvious so quickly. Sure does look like a lot of unstained, handrubbed wood in those photos. Hahahaha.

Very nice kit Tom. WW

Kind of makes you feel like you befriended the wrong guy?? lol Might have done better kit wise if you made friends with either Wes or I. Your Friend Axe knew who to come to. :D :)

We can make anything happen, you just have to ask. Seriously if you buy the material I will do the finishing work (Just dont hound me and I get all the photo rights for Knipe Drums portfolio and a promo video) :)
