I've been messing around a little with some of the songs on my III. Here is a short recording of the song "classic funk" (#13) using my beech custom abs. user kit. I wanted to hear the beech kit in this genre....I've made some changes to the kit since last rec.....changed the vel. depth and offset some more and added a new effect (name escapes me right now)...anyway have a listen let me know what you think....:)

Nice sounds Scott (and playing).

I can't seem to find "Beech Custom" on my TD-10exp. Hahahahaha

PS: keep saving those custom tweeks to my.............eh, your DTX III module :-O

Scott, Man you have the snare tweaked out sweet :D I would love to have that for a user kit. Great kit and a very nice demo. I love that snare!!!!!!!

I thought my favorite was the maple snare but I am loving the beech right now, atleast your version of the beech snare.Very hot

Hey Scott, If you dont mind putting the file out there for me I would appreciate it very much. I like the way that Beech snare sound is. The whole kit sounds great but you found something in the snare that I cant reproduce. Thanks again and Great Work, Tom

I really really like it, he has this natural ring to it that sounds incredibly live and natural. :) :D

Scott, Well played and nice kit! You would have done well with that song in the DTX jam when it was chosen one month. You should try the jam you might have fun with it.
BTW, Don't get the life! I've tried it and it's not what it's cracked up to be. No positional sensing and not even enough memory to hold even one VST. Don`t work well at all with my meshy head either. Not worth the effort IMO. Besides we like you just the way you are. Now where is the file for that kit file? haha. Alvis :)

Thanks alot HF for the compliment!!!..I didn't expect it!.....I have to tell you..I'm my own worst critic and have already picked apart my playing on this song...several times!!!....hahahaha...anyway, I really do appreciate the compliment!...

...and Alvis...again thanks for the compliment!....and I wish I could "get a life"...but then I guess I would have 4000 posts here by now...or rather there!!...hahaha...I've gotta tell you I had alot of fun poking fun at some of the silliness going on in that thread..there's obviously some people there that wear their britches too tight!!!..hahaha...I really was just having a little light hearted fun...guess I struck a nerve!...lol:)....but I do have to say I did put smilie faces on all of my comments!:)...and yes I know I've gotta get the new T3E file posted here!!!...haha...and I may have to try out the DTX jam...:)...sounds like fun!

OK...here is a link to the EXTKIT_T3E file. I have kits on A01-A17 & also A19 (Oak Flanger)....skipped 18 as it was 80's west coast kit and I haven't done much with it....The beech kit is A12...since the recording I changed the snare just a tiny bit...I added a rim1 sound to pad...it seemed to my ears that it gave the snare just a little more crack to it...it is easily turned off in Voice-Pad-Trigger-triglink..but I think you'll like it even more with the rim on...Happy Drumming!.....I've really gotta start watching my post count...I don't want to possibly "get a life"...:)...
..also...I don't know if on these files my trigger settings come with them...but I set gain to 20-25, vel. to 0-125 (5%), snare/toms on hard1 (also sometimes normal), bass on loud1, cymbals I believe are also loud1...(crash esp. as I think this gives more swell)
