Hey guys.
Very nice to meet you all and I look forward to getting geeky about edrums.
I am having an issue with my Hart Proffesional Snare (the chrome one). To be honest considering they hail it as the best electronic snare ever, I havn't been impressed since buying it several years ago.
The rim is pretty useless in that it takes great precision to trigger just the rim and not the snare as well.
Anyhoo, that isn't my main concern. Basically the sensitivity is not great. It's not as responsive as I think it should be and I wondered if anyone new of a way to improve it (the idea of being to use brushes as they claim is laughable). On top of that there are many times when a hit will just be completely missed out. It has got gradually worse over time. I know my module (DM Pro) inside out and have tried all combinations of settings. I really think it has to be to do with the cone of foam in the centre of the drum. Some one told me you could buy an extra foam cap to attach so it sits closer to the head, but I have not found anything.
If anyone has experienced this and come up with a solution I would love to hear!
I am based in the UK, but can order stuff from the states if needs be.
Many thanks for your time.
