Hi guys and gals. So Ive finally joined up over here. Enjoying the different style of EDF. Been learning edrums for a couple of months now starting to broaden my technical knowledge / drum theory etc, otherwise Im an absolute noob to drumming and loving it! I already recognise a few faces (Tom and Hellfire for starters ;)) so Im already feeling right at home.
Take care TP.

Hi Totally Plucked and welcome to this place.
There is a great bunch of drummers that hang out here so I think you'll very much enjoy your time here.
Enjoy learning the drums, they are a fun instrument, all you have to keep in mind is it all requires patience, lots and lots of patience, Something I don't have much of! LOL :D
Take care

Welcome totally plucked.
This site has a little of everything with a diversified group of edrum owners. We have no issues with anyone that enjoys playing Roland, Yamaha, Pintech, Hart, VST, DIY, Blastech, Ddrum, Alesis, Diamond, etc... edrums. The more diversified, the more we each learn about new products and options available to us. By the way, tell us (or post a photo) of your edrum equipment, as it's always interesting to see other kits and to find out why it was chosen.
Be forewarned though, you must possess a sense of humor here as many at this site will also joke around from time to time (and I'm one of them). WW

Thanks for the warm welcome. My kits nothing exciting Just a bog standard TD9KX. Yeah its probably a bit extravagant for a first kit but I initially picked up a TD4 which was great but there wasnt enough to fiddle with (No midi or Vex packs etc) So I took it back after 1 week and came home with the TD9
I dont really know why I went for Roland although I seem to remember stumbling upon the Vdrum forum and the rest is history I suppose. Perhaps if I had found DTXperience then I might have a Yamaha instead ....who knows. I guess I was slightly influenced by my dealer who has the entire Roland Vdrum range on display and only a couple of Yamaha's. Either way its a lot of money but Im still learning and playing (or that should be practicing) so Im happy. When I stop playing and loose interest I will think about the cost
