hey all
I'm entering the electric drum kit world and market as a beginner. I haven't played drums since I was about 9 yrs old, that was 11 yrs ago, so basically I'll be starting from scratch again. I've read into the posts already up here about what you all think about some brands and models. Whilst searching I came across this set and tried to find some reviews on it to help me paint a better picture of it but found none.
So I was wondering if anyone on here has had experience of it and if they would be kind enough to share it with me. Also in your opinion would this be a good purchase, both money-wise and value-wise, bearing in mind I'll be learning on it from scratch etc. What I want out of a drum kit right now is something to just chill out on, and mess around with the capabilities of hooking it up to my PC.
thanks.

Looks like a clean decent set to get started on.. First decide your budget. When you start from that point its much easier to find the best for the least. Im sure you will get a bunch of feedback from guys here if you let them know what you want to spend... Good luck

Hi soulquarian and welcome to this place. :)
Your best bet is if there's a music shop in your area that have the kit you are thinking of buying as a floor display, go try it out, see what it feels like to you, see if you like the sounds and how adjustable those sounds are. Most important is being able to place the pads in the locations you want for optimum comfort when playing, also very important, is the feel of the pads themselves, do they feel too hard, too soft, too bouncy, not bouncy enough. Everyone has a different playing style, so the feel of the pads can be an important issue.
The brand name on the kit doesn't matter, as long as you are happy with your kit, that's what matters.
Take care and good luck with your decision. :)

I don't know much about Bentley drums. From the little bit of digging I did, it looks like they may be re-branded Medeli drums (http://www.medeli.com.hk/products/dd/index.html). Hard to say however. Admittedly, I am guessing. The best advice I can give you is, find a store that sells these drums and try them out before you buy. That way nothing should surprise you when you purchase one yourself. As Jack said "The brand name on the kit doesn't matter, as long as you are happy with your kit, that's what matters".
I did find this drum kit under two different names; Bentley, and Ringway. Here's a video of the kit in action:

hey thanks for the feedback and advice!
I'm gonna make a trip to a few shops later in the week and see what I can find - my budget is really anything below £300.
thanks again, you've been a great help!
