Just shot some pics over this weekend of yet another newer layout of my kit :D . I added a few more red ddrum cymbal pads ( still have to mount one of them ) , also switched out my ddrum4 (1.5 OS ) module with a ddrumSE ( 1.54 OS ) module , and added some ddrum pro triggers for use with some of the advanced samples on the ddrum3 module .
The rack system ( a.k.a. the " Black Steel Jungle " )

Nice kit Sam!....Are you using three modules for this?...if so, how do you have them sync'd/connected?

Hi Sam.
Nice kit, man oh man, looks like a nightmare to wire up! LOL :)
That was the part of kit building I very much disliked, the wiring, how I hated doing that.
I would imagine that must be a full day's work on your kit.
Nice layout and those acoustic conversions are gorgeous! :)
Take care

Thanks Scott I moved the whole kit to another room for taking pics of it ( what a workout that was ) . Yeah I have the ddrum3 module , the ddrum4SE module , and the Yamaha DTX 2.0 module as shown in the pics all pretty much with filled inputs .
Here's a break down of the way I have things laid out :
ddrum3 module input list :
1 Blastech Kick
2 Blastech Snare (head)
3 Blastech Snare ( rim )
4 Blastech 8" rack tom
5 Blastech 10" rack tom
6 Blastech 12" rack tom
7 Blastech 12" floor tom
8 Blastech 14" floor tom
9 Pintech 10" splash ( center )
10 ddrum cymbal pad ( ride 2 )
ddrum4SE module input list :
1 ddrum tube trigger pole #1
2 Blastech 10" side/aux. tom
3 ddrum cymbal pad ( crash 1 )
4 ddrum cymbal pad ( crash 2 )
5 ddrum cymbal pad ( china )
6 ddrum cymbal pad ( closed hihat )
7 Pintech 14" crash ( left side )
8 ddrum tube trigger pole #2
9 ddrum cymbal pad ( ride 1 )
10 ddrum hihat controller
Yamaha DTX 2.0 module input list :
1 Hart Hammer #1
2 Pintech NR6 #1
3 Hart Hammer #2
4 Pintech NR6 #2
5 ddrum cymbal pad ( aux sounds #1 )
6 Hart Hammer #5
7 Hart Hammer #4
8 Pintech 14" crash ( right side )
9 Hart Hammer #3
10 ddrum cymbal pad ( aux sounds #2 )
11 ddrum cymbal pad ( special effect sounds #1 )
12 ddrum cymbal pad ( special effect sounds #2 )
I run all of my outputs stereo from each module into a rack mount mixer and then through my power amp .
I actually have a few more modules :D , another ddrum4SE and a few others but I think the kit has grown about as far as it will for a while now ( that is until the 2nd kick gets built in "2010 " ) I actually like to have each module's outputs run seperately that way I have better control of how I want the levels to be mixed .

Thanks Wes ,
Yep I'm gonna get that second kick addition set into motion after the holidays are over . One ddrum cymbal pad is using that input until the new kick is built .

Killer kit, Sam! Please tell me you don't take it all with you to gigs.haha. Well, unless you have someone to help you set it all up. Enjoy, Alvis :)

Thanks Jack ,
Yeah the wiring can be quite a work out in itself ( 32 trigger cables ) . I have the cables broke down into several different groupings to simplify things a bit . I'm still finishing up the cable management on it but it has gotten better . Once I get everything worked out I'll probably have custom length snakes made for it . I'm going through right now and marking the distance of each cable from input to source to see where I'm at with them . Most of the triggers are XLR-to-1/4" and I have quite a bit of extra cables that can be shortened to keep the expense down a little bit .

Thanks Alvis ,
No It's more for fun at home . I do user a smaller version for studio stuff when I have time to record a bit .

Yeah I look at it sometimes and just go WoW ! It does seem a little over the top , but it's alot of fun to get different ideas flowing . I like alot of different styles of music , so this kit comes in very handy for playing various stuff .

It was a long process but I'm real happy with the current state of my kit . The Blastech drums are nice because they all have internal trigger systems in them allready . I just added the ddrum pro external triggers on them being that I started using some of the advanced features in the ddrum3 module and haven't had enough time to tweak some settings to my liking on them .
